    摘要: A process for producing a low-molecular-weight polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) having a melting point in the range of 250 to 325 °C, which comprises polymerizing tetrafluoroethylene in a solvent selected from the group consisting of hydrochlorofluorocarbons, hydrofluorocarbons and perfluorocarbons, each having a boiling point in the range of -10 to 70 °C, and additionally feeding the monomer to carry out the polymerization under a constant pressure. This process enables low-molecular-weight PTFE useful as additives for various uses to be produced in a solvent which has a low ozone depletion potential or does not deplete the ozone layer under an economically advantageous low pressure in a safely controllable range.
