摘要： A call processing system is disclosed wherein plural platforms (208-212) are populated with plural voice boards and different resources thereon. Whenever a functional component on a server (201-203) is requested to start operating for carrying out a particular function as requested by a call, polling software on said server (201-203) runs to poll from the platforms (201-203) the availability information of the corresponding resource required for said function requested by the call.

Each board (301-305) on the different platforms (208-212) is populated with different resources, and resources may be allocated from any board and any platform to process calls. In a preferred implementation, a priority system is established so that co-located resources are preferred.
