Abstract:
IP telephony communications are conducted by sending both data produced by a CODEC that represents received spoken audio input, and a textual representation of the spoken audio input. A receiving device utilizes the textual representation of the spoken audio input to help recreate the spoken audio input when a portion of the CODEC data is missing. The textual representation can be generated by a speech-to-text function. Alternatively, the textual representation can be a notation of extracted phonemes.
Abstract:
Provided are a system and method of providing a voice-message call service. A mobile device (1000) that performs a call with an external mobile device (2000) comprises a control unit (1300) configured to obtain text, the text converted from voice data that is exchanged between the mobile device and the external mobile device, during the call between the mobile device and the external mobile device, and obtain input text input to the mobile device and provided text that is received from the external mobile device; and a display unit (1210) configured to arrange the text, the input text, and the provided text and display the arranged text, input text, and provided text on a screen of the device, during the call between the mobile device and the external mobile device.
Abstract:
Disclosed are methods and systems for sending a transcript of a voice conversation during telecommunication. In an aspect, a first user device participating in a voice call with at least a second user device, receives voice data from a user of the first user device, converts the voice data from the user of the first user device into a speech-to-text transcript of the voice data, transmits the voice data to the second user device on a first channel, and transmits the speech-to-text transcript of the voice data to the second user device on a second channel.
Abstract:
A method, system and apparatus for providing previews of voice calls are provided. A voice call from a communication device to a remote communication device is initiated, via a communication interface. Sound data is received via a microphone, prior to the voice call being established. Preview data is transmitted in association with the voice call to the remote communication device, via the communication interface, the preview data indicative of the sound data, and the preview data for presentation at the remote communication device prior to the voice call being established.
Abstract:
A method for configuring an automated self-help system based on prior interactions between a plurality of customers and a plurality of agents of a contact center includes: recognizing, by a processor, speech in the prior interactions between customers and agents to generate recognized text, the recognized text including a plurality of phrases, the phrases being classified into a plurality of clusters; extracting, by the processor, a plurality of sequences of clusters, each of the sequences of clusters corresponding to the phrases of one of the prior interactions; filtering, by the processor, the sequences of clusters based on a criterion; mining, by the processor, a preliminary dialogue tree from the sequences of clusters; invoking configuration of the automated self-help system based on the preliminary dialogue tree; and outputting a dialogue tree for configuring the automated self-help system.
Abstract:
A system includes: a computerized appliance having a processor; and software executing on the computerized appliance from a non-transitory physical medium, the software providing: establishment of a communication session over a network between two or more end communications appliances; detection and recording of at least media channel capabilities on individual end communications appliances connected in the session; service of media channel toggle options to end communications appliances; detection of media channel toggle option selections made by users operating the end communications appliances; and implementation of the media channel toggle option or options selected for individual communications sessions.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and an apparatus for converting a voice into a text in a multiparty call, which relate to the field of communications technologies, and can accurately obtain the text converted from the voice in the multiparty call in a time-saving and effortless way. Solutions provided in the present invention include: receiving converted-to-text requests sent by at least two terminals, where the converted-to-text requests include a first identifier and a second identifier; allocating a session to the at least two terminals, so that in the converted-to-text requests sent by the at least two terminals, terminals that have a same first identifier or a same second identifier have a same session; receiving, by using a packet-switched domain, a voice stream whose sampling rate is greater than 8 KHz and that is sent by at least one terminal in one multiparty call, where the multiparty call corresponds to one session; converting the voice stream into a text; and sending the text to a terminal in the multiparty call. The present invention is used to obtain a text converted from a voice in the multiparty call.
Abstract:
This application discloses a method, an apparatus, and a portable electronic device. The method includes: detecting an incoming phone call; automatically answering the phone call; determining that in at least one pre-stored event, there is an event matching a telephone number of the phone call, where the event includes: at least one of content of the event, a starting time of the event, or a location of the event, contact information of a participant, and permission of the participant; and the contact information of participant includes a telephone number; obtaining and parsing audio content of the phone call; and automatically answering the telephone call according to the audio content and permission that corresponds to the telephone number of the phone call. The method provided in this application has an advantage of effective privacy protection.
Abstract:
Systems and methods to process and/or present information relating to voice messages for a user that are received from other persons. In one embodiment, a method implemented in a data processing system includes: receiving first data associated with prior communications or activities for a first user on a mobile device; receiving a voice message for the first user; transcribing the voice message using the first data to provide a transcribed message; and sending the transcribed message to the mobile device for display to the user.
Abstract:
A computer based system and method for translation and communication of messages include sending a message in a source language using a transmission protocol from a first client device to a second client device. The source language message is transmitted using a transmission protocol to a translation server for translating the message from the source language to a destination language by either the first or second client device. The message, in its destination language form, is displayed and stored. The translation server is either on-line or off-line. Text-to-voice and voice-to-text converters are used for conversion of original text messages to voice, or of original voice to text, for transmission to the second client device.
