The invention relates to liquid, deposit-free mineral aqueous coating agents, temperature-resistant coatings based thereon and a method for the production and use thereof. The inventive mineral coating agents contain: a) 5-50 wt. % water containing inorganic salts, b) 5-50 wt. % of at least one mineral filling material, filling body and/or pigments, c) 10-80 wt. % of at least one mineral binding agent, d) 0.05-5 wt. % additives. Said inventive coating agents are used in stream-producing devices, such as, irons inhalation devices, cleaning devices or humidifiers, as a coating for the steam chambers thereof.
