摘要: The present embodiments relate generally to systems and methods for measuring an analyte in a host. More particularly, the present embodiments provide sensor applicators and methods of use with activation that implant the sensor, withdraw the insertion needle, engage the transmitter with the housing, and disengage the applicator from the housing. Systems and methods according to present principles allow for such steps to occur without significant loss of spring force, and without deleterious effects such as seal slingshotting.

摘要: A device is provided for applying an on-skin sensor assembly to skin of a host. The device comprises: a base configured to secure a housing, wherein the housing is configured to receive an electronics unit, wherein the electronics unit is configured to generate analyte information based on a signal from a sensor; a sensor insertion mechanism configured to insert the sensor into the host, and including a needle carrying the sensor, a rotatable wheel, and a linearly translatable needle carrier; and a trigger configured, in response to being activated, to cause the rotatable wheel to rotate, which in turn causes the linearly translatable needle carrier to translate toward the host to implant the sensor, and subsequently to translate away from the host to withdraw the needle from the host.

摘要: The present embodiments relate generally to applicators of on-skin sensor assemblies for measuring an analyte in a host, as well as their method of use and manufacture. In some aspects, an applicator for applying an on-skin sensor assembly to a skin of a host is provided. The applicator includes an applicator housing, a needle carrier assembly comprising an insertion element configured to insert a sensor of the on-skin sensor assembly into the skin of the host, a holder releasably coupled to the needle carrier assembly and configured to guide the on-skin sensor assembly while coupled to the needle carrier assembly, and a drive assembly configured to drive the insertion element from a proximal starting position to a distal insertion position, and from the distal insertion position to a proximal retraction position.

摘要: Various embodiments relate generally to continuous monitoring of analyte values received from an analyte sensor system. In some example embodiments, there is provided a method that includes receiving sensor information, calculating and storing estimated analyte measurement values based upon the received sensor information. The method also includes determining one or more communication conditions, and instructing a transceiver to advertise to a first display device in accordance with one or more communication variables based upon the one or more communication conditions. The method then transmits the estimated analyte measurement values to the at least first display device. Related systems, methods, and articles of manufacture are also described.
