摘要： An aqueous dispersion comprises a silicone composition dispersed in an aqueous phase. The silicone composition comprises a product of a reaction of (a) an alkenyl-containing organopolysiloxane having an average per molecule of at least 2 alkenyl groups and (b) an Si H containing siloxane having an average per molecule of at least 2 Si H moieties. The dispersion also comprises a hydrosilylation catalyst, a polymeric film former and a surfactant of molecular weight below 1600. The composition is stabilised in dispersion form by the surfactant dissolved in the aqueous phase and the polymeric film former, and is capable of forming a tacky layer on drying.

摘要： An aqueous dispersion, useful for forming a film, comprises a silicone composition dispersed in an aqueous phase. 摘要： The invention relates to a method for the production of silicone in water emulsions by emulsion polymerisation. The emulsion contains particles of an organopolysiloxane polymer having an average particle diameter of less than 1µm. The method comprises: - combining a silanol end-blocked organosiloxane starting polymer, water, and a surfactant; said starting polymer having a viscosity of at least 2 Pa.s preferably at least 2.5 Pa.s preferably at least 3.5 Pa.s preferably at least 4 Pa.s and up to 150 Pa.s; - emulsifying the starting polymer by agitating or shearing the ingredients; - polymerizing the starting polymer to form a longer chain silanol end-blocked organopolysiloxane polymer; wherein at least a portion of said polymerising step is performed at a temperature of less than or equal to 16 ºC preferably less than or equal to 15 ºC.

摘要： A method of preparing an oil-in-water emulsion comprises combining (A) an organopolysiloxane including at least two silicon-bonded hydrolysable or hydroxyl groups and (B) an organic oil to give a mixture. The method further comprises combining the mixture, (C) an aqueous medium and (D) a surfactant to form an initial emulsion. Finally, the method comprises contacting the organopolysiloxane (A) with (D1) an organic acid catalyst to polymerize the organopolysiloxane (A) to give (A1) a high molecular weight organopolysiloxane and the oil-in-water emulsion. A personal care composition comprising the oil-in-water emulsion and a personal care ingredient is also disclosed.

摘要： The invention relates to branched organopolysiloxanes and emulsions thereof, and to methods of preparation and uses of the branched organopolysiloxanes and emulsions thereof. A branched organopolysiloxane is prepared by the reaction of a branching agent with a substantially linear organopolysiloxane containing at least one hydroxyl or hydrolysable group bonded to silicon, in the presence of an inert fluid and a catalyst, such as a phosphazene catalyst. Phosphazene catalysts also have the advantage that the content of undesired low molecular weight cyclic silicones in the polymerisation product is low.
