Provided is an antifouling sheet having an interlayer (X) containing a (poly)silazane compound and having an antifouling layer (Y) layered on the surface of the interlayer (X), wherein the layer (Y) is formed of an antifouling layer-forming composition containing a specific tetrafunctional silane compound (A) and a specific trifunctional silane compound (B), the content of the component (B) in the antifouling layer-forming composition is 8 to 90 mol% relative to 100 mol% of the component (A). The antifouling sheet is provided with an antifouling layer having good surface state and curability, has a large slip acceleration for water droplets, thereby having excellent water repellency that makes water droplets slip off instantly, and has excellent interlayer adhesiveness.

A method and apparatus for making silicone-in-water emulsions comprising high viscosity silicone polymers is provided. In various aspects, polyorganosiloxanes are polymerized into high viscosity silicone polymers then emulsified in a continuous process, wherein the process is carried out using a single apparatus. In some aspects, the provided apparatus is an extruder for polymerizing polyorganosiloxanes into high viscosity silicone polymers and then emulsifying such polymers.

A flexible sheet comprising a composite sheet, the composite sheet comprising a binder and an aggregate containing a plurality of carbon nanotubes that is disposed in the binder, wherein the aggregate is formed as a waveform structure travelling along a single direction in a plane of the composite sheet, is provided. The disclosed flexible sheets may be used as thermally conductive components, electrically conductive components, antistatic components, electromagnetic wave shields, and/or heating elements, in addition to other possible uses.

Provided are a silicon-containing resin composition with which it is possible to form a silica-based coating film in which generation of cracks is minimized, a method for forming a silica-based coating film using the silicon-containing resin composition, and a crack-free silica-based coating film formed using the silicon-containing resin composition. A silicon-containing resin composition including (A) a silicon-containing resin and (S) a solvent, wherein one or more selected from siloxane resins and polysilanes is used as the (A) silicon-containing resin, and the (S) solvent contains a cycloalkyl acetate having a specific structure. Cyclohexyl acetate is preferably used as the cycloalkyl acetate.

An addition/condensation curable silicone resin sheet comprising (A) an organopolysiloxane containing at least two silicon-bonded alkenyl groups and at least two silicon-bonded alkoxy or hydroxyl groups, (B) an organopolysiloxane containing at least two silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms and at least two silicon-bonded alkoxy or hydroxyl groups, (C) an organopolysiloxane containing at least two silicon atoms having two alkoxy or hydroxyl groups and one hydrogen atom on a common silicon atom, and (D) a hydrosilylation catalyst is plastic and solid or semisolid at normal temperature. The silicone resin sheet is easy to work, effective to cure, and likely to form a cured layer around an LED chip.

The invention relates to a piezoresistive material, a detection unit comprising such piezoresistive material, and a method for producing such piezoresistive material. Further, several uses of the material uses of the piezoresistive material or the detection unit are described. The piezoresistive material comprises a compound of a carbon component and an elastomer component. The carbon component comprises carbon particles comprising macropores. The elastomer component comprises polymeric chains. At least some of the macropores in the carbon particles are infiltrated by polymeric chains to form a piezoresistive interconnection between the carbon particles.
