摘要: A warning device (1) to provide an alert to persons operating towable ground support equipment (7), the towable ground support equipment (7) comprising a connector (11), the connector being suitable for connection to an aircraft and being stowable when it is not in use, and a first coupler (6), the first coupler (6) being arranged to cooperate with a second coupler (8) on a towing device (9). The warning device (1) comprises: an actuator (2), comprising an actuator body (4) and a piston (3), arranged to move the piston in a forwards direction to occlude or obstruct at least one coupler (6) when the connector (11) is not in its stowed position. The actuator is mounted so that if any obstruction is met during the forward motion of the piston (3), continued operation of the actuator while the piston is unable to move forwards will result in the actuator body moving backwards. The actuator body is biased in the forwards direction relative to a backplate (5) by a biasing means, so that backwards motion of the actuator body triggers an alert mechanism (14) to provide an alert to the persons operating the towable ground support equipment (7).
