摘要： A tip for use on an earth working roll for mining, construction and public works machines such as crushers, surface miners, milling machines and the like includes a working end provided with side relief to reduce drag and wearing, require less power to drive the rolls, and lengthen the usable life of the tip. The working end can also have a generally flat front surface to improve the yield in a crushing or other similar operation. The tip includes a base and a wear cap releasably secured together by a retainer.

摘要： The wear tip (24) has a wear face at the front and a cavity especially a tapered socket at its rear. An adaptor (18) is fixed to the excavator bucket and has a tapered nose that fits into the wear tip socket. An ear extends from the rear of the adaptor that forms, in conjunction with the adapter a slot into which a lock (41) may engage. The lock may be released by insertion of a pry tool (T) and may include a latch and resilient part. Independent claims are also included for the following (a) The lock (b) The method to mount the wear tip (c) The method to remove the wear tip.
