    摘要: An interlock (15) for electric power switches (1a, 1b) includes indicator followers (23a, 23b) each following a state indicator (9) on an associated electric power switch (1) indicating the open/closed state of the switch. A second coupler (77a, 77b) couples the other end (79) of each elongated connecting member (55) to an auxiliary trip member actuator (39) which actuates an auxiliary trip member (13) on another electric power switch (1) to maintain it in the open/tripped condition when the associated electric power switch is in the closed condition. The first couplers (57) include a swivel (63) through which the elongated connecting member (55) slides and a compliant member (67), preferably in the form of a helical compression spring, captured between the swivel (63) and a stop nut (69) on the one end of the elongated connecting member (55).

Separate joining blocks (21f,21r) for the front (5f) and rear sections (5r) of the molded casing are driven into place and retained by bolts (45) engaging flanges (49a-49b) on the molded casing. The poles (7) are paralleled by external conductors (61,63) in any desired configuration so that the standard switches (3a,3b) can be used without customization.

Movement of only one of the elongated actuators (77 12 -77 32 ) to an ON position causes the pivot plate (41) to translate relative to the output coupling (53), but not to rotate. However, when the second actuator (77 12 -77 32 ) is moved to an ON position in a direction parallel but opposite to the movement of the first actuator (77 12 -77 32 ), the pivot plate (41) rotates to rotate the output coupling (53), and therefore, the output shaft (51). This mechanical AND gate (39) has particular application to interlocking three electric power switches (7 1 -7 2 ) such as circuit breakers so that any two, but not all three, circuit breakers (7 1 -7 2 ) may be on at one time.
