摘要: A retention clip (10) which secures radiant heating tubing (48) to a reinforcing bar or wire (50) used to reinforce a concrete slab. In one embodiment, the clip (10) has a C-shaped body (12) which includes a pair of parallel legs (14, 16) connected by a straight bight (18). The bight (18) is hinged (26) in the center so it can be bent to bring the free ends of the legs (14, 16) together. A pin (42) on one leg (16) then enters a socket (36) on the other leg (14) and a flange (44) on the pin (42) interlocks with a shoulder (40) of the socket (36) to hold the clip (10) around the tubing (48) and reinforcing element (50). The clip body (12) has stiffening ribs (28, 30, 32) to enhance its strength and dimensional stability. An alternative embodiment provides a straight clip body (112) having a central hinge joint (122) and two elbow joints (128) about which the body (112) can be flexed to bring interlocking ends together. Each elbow joint (128) includes opposing pairs of lugs (168) which provide stability. A block (120) on one side of each elbow joint (128) enters a groove (138) between the opposing lugs (168) to lock the joint (128) against sideward swaying.
