Furthermore, according to the invention, a second fluid path (II) (instead of the first flow path) is established afterwards and which leads from the lumen of the fluid supply line (60) to the lumen of the first tube and parallel to the lumen of the second tube, and further from the lumen of the first tube or from the lumen of the second tube respectively to the lumen of the fluid extraction line, and fluid is allowed to flow along said second flow path (II). Furthermore, at least one measuring signal (s1) is generated during the flow of fluid along the second flow path, optionally also during the flow of the fluid along said first flow path, and said measuring signal is used to determine measurement values for the at least one measured variable.

The adapter (10) according to the invention comprises an attachment connector (11), an attachment connector (12) and an attachment connector (13). A respective free connector end (11+, 12+ or 13+ respectively) of each of the attachment connectors (11, 12, 13) is designed for being connected to a line end of in each case one (other) fluid line. Furthermore, the adapter (10) has two mutually separate, tubular flow ducts (10-I, 10-II) which are designed in each case for guiding fluid flowing in and flowing out again, of which flow ducts one flow duct (10-I) extends from a flow opening (12a) located in the free connector end (12+) of the attachment connector (12) to a flow opening (11a) located in the free connector end (11+) of the attachment connector (11), and one flow duct (10-II) extends from a flow opening (13a) located in the free connector end (13+) of the attachment connector (13) to a flow opening (11b) located in the free connector end (11+). Furthermore, the adapter (10) comprises a projection (14) which adjoins a region, located between the flow openings (11a, 11b), of the free connector end (11+) and which extends from same connector ends (11+) with a length (l 14 ) to a free projection end (14+) remote therefrom. A fluid line system formed by means of the adapter (10) furthermore comprises a fluid line (100) with a lumen encased by a wall, which lumen extends from a flow opening (100a) located in a line end (100+) of the fluid line (100) both to a flow opening (100b) located in a line end (100#) of same fluid line (100) and to a flow opening (100c) located, spaced apart from same flow opening (100b), in the line end (100#). The fluid line (100) may be connected by means of its line end (100+) to the attachment connector (11) of the adapter (10) in such a way that the projection (14) projects into the lumen of the fluid line (100) so as to form two tubular chambers of the fluid line (100), which tubular chambers are separated from one another by the projection (14) and are each designed for guiding fluid flowing through.
