The transducer (6) is arranged to determine its orientation and position with respect to at least four degrees of freedom relative to the environment by receiving incident signals from signal sources (7) in the environment and thereby produce corresponding information concerning the orientation and the position of the sensor, for at least one said recording or measuring accomplished by the sensor (5).

    摘要： The present invention relates to a device (4) and method for producing data concerning one or more properties of an environment, the device (4) comprising: a transducer (6) mechanically connected to a sensor (5), a relative position and orientation of the sensor and the transducer being fixed with respect to each other, said transducer being arranged to receive signals from signal sources in the environment. Said transducer is configured to determine a direction (ϕ 1 , Θ 1 ; ϕ 2 , Θ 2 ; ϕ3, Θ 3 ) of a sightline extending between the transducer and each of at least three of the signal sources with each determined direction measurement comprising two angular measures (ϕ i , Θ i ) measured relative to the transducer, and calculating the position and orientation of the transducers. The sensor (5) is configured to measure a property of the environment at, at least one position or along a line correspondingly. The device further comprises: means for calculating the sensor's position and orientation relative to the environment, the sensor's position and orientation being calculated with at least four degrees of freedom and means for generating at least three sets of data, and using i one or several of degrees of freedom of the calculated position and orientation of the sensor and ii the measured property of the environment from at least three sets of data to produce a model of the environment, said model being one of for zero (0) to two (2) spatial dimension sensors, the device emits said measured environmental information in at least one additional spatial dimension than the number of spatial dimensions output from the sensor, or a 3D model of the environment viewable from plural perspectives.

The device comprises a member for generating stimuli, said stimulation generating member including a transducer arranged to determine its position and/or orientation relative to the real environment by receiving incident optical signals from signal sources in the real environment and recording the relative incident directions of the received signals in relation to the transducer, and a means by which the creature and the transducer are connected so that the relative positions and/or orientations of the creature and the transducer are arranged to be within a limited interval, for generating the stimuli by means of information about the position and/or orientation of the transducer and about the real environment, and a unit for transferring the generated stimuli to the creature to thereby realize said milieu for the creature.
