摘要: The LC-MS apparatus includes an ionization source 51 coupled to a mass spectrometer 50 and a liquid chromatographic (LC) system 10 coupled to the ionization source. The LC system 10 comprises multiple fluidic streams 11,12,13 alternately connectable to the ionization source 51, thereby assigning a detection time window to each fluidic stream from the multiple fluidic streams when connected to the ionization source. The LC-MS apparatus further comprises a controller 60 that is configured to carry out steps of monitoring an ionization current of the ionization source 51 for the multiple fluidic streams and identifying differences in flow conditions between the multiple fluidic streams based on the monitored ionization current. The controller is further configured to carry out adjusting detection conditions of one or more of the multiple fluidic streams responsive to the identified differences.

The method comprises determining a deviation of the analytical system (100) from a QC-compliant status by determining a deviation of one or more predetermined parameters (1, 2) in an m/z spectrum (11) above one or more predetermined thresholds, triggering an IS and/or MS maintenance procedure (12) upon determining a deviation from the QC-compliant status, determining (13) a return or a failed return to the QC-compliant status during and/or after the IS and/or MS maintenance procedure (12) by determining a return or a failed return respectively of the one or more predetermined parameters (1, 2) in an m/z spectrum (14, 16) below the one or more predetermined thresholds, triggering another IS and/or MS maintenance procedure (15) upon determining a failed return to the QC-compliant status.

摘要: In one general aspect, the present invention relates to an automated method for identifying a clot or a leak in an analyzer including multiple liquid chromatography (LC) streams, the method includes obtaining an indication of a trigger event for a clot or leak detection routine and starting a clot or leak detecting routine in response to the trigger event. The clot or leak detecting routine is designed to identify a location of the clot or leak out multiple possible positions by using one or more sensors of the analyzer. The method further includes providing information regarding the identified location of the clot or leak for further processing.
