An aligning device whereby an injection nozzle (5) can be easily aligned with the sprue of a mold. A stationary platen (2) has a locating hole (3) formed therein and a tapered portion (4) continuous with the locating hole (3) and tapered in a direction such that the tapered portion (3) broadens toward the injection nozzle (5). An aligning jig (1) to be fitted into the locating hole (3) and the tapered portion (4) is prepared. The jig (1) has a recess (1c) formed in the center of an end face thereof and having a shape matching that of the distal end of the injection nozzle (5). The jig (1) is fitted into the locating hole (3), and the inj ection nozzle (5) is engaged with the recess (1c) to align the injection nozzle (5) with the axis of the locating hole (3). Since the mold is attached to the stationary platen (2) such that the axis of the sprue of the mold is aligned with that of the locating hole (3), the injection nozzle (5) becomes aligned with the sprue. The injection nozzle (5) can be easily and accurately aligned even while the mold is attached to the stationary platen (2) and also the mold and the injection cylinder (6) are heated to high temperature.

By driving the linear motor comprising the magnet (9a-d) and the coil (13a-d) corresponding to each other, the screw (3) is moved and injected in an axial direction.
