摘要： A new antimicrobial agent called FR-900493 obtainable by culturing a FR-900493 substance-producing strain belonging to the genus Bacillus in nutrient medium and recovering the FR-900493 substance, and a process for preparing FR-900493 by such cultivation. The invention further comprises pharmaceutical compositions contain- ling FR-900493 substance as an active ingredient in association with a pharmaceutically acceptable, substantially pon-toxic carrier or excipient. The invention also covers a biologically pure culture of the microorganism Bacillus cereus No. 2045 (FERM BP-1791).
