Abstract: Provided are a lead-acid battery system and a lead-acid battery life estimation method, which can contribute to improvement of reliability by more accurately estimating a degradation degree of a lead-acid battery regardless of a degradation cause. A transition determination unit (131) that determines switching of charging/discharging process of a lead-acid battery (B), a current value determination unit (132) that detects a change in a discharge current value during a discharge period of the lead-acid battery (B), a calculation unit (133) that, when the current value determination unit (132) determines that a change occurred in the discharge current value, calculates a CT value on the basis of a discharge current value acquired for each section divided by the change, and a degradation determination unit (135) that determines a degradation degree of the lead-acid battery (B) using the CT value calculated by the calculation unit (133) are included.

Abstract: Provided are a lead-acid battery system and a lead-acid battery life estimation method capable of accurately estimating a remaining life of a lead-acid battery by calculating a capacity turnover value during operation in consideration of a magnitude of a depth of discharge (DOD). The lead-acid battery system (S) estimates the remaining life of the lead-acid battery (B) by comparing a capacity turnover value from the beginning to the end of life with the capacity turnover value during operation. The lead-acid battery system (S) includes a capacity turnover value calculation unit (137) that calculates the capacity turnover value during operation. The capacity turnover value calculation unit (137) calculates the capacity turnover value during operation by using a DOD-based correction coefficient Kdod(c) calculated based on the DOD representing the depth of discharge calculated by dividing an integrated discharge capacity after the start of the discharge of the lead-acid battery (B) by a rated capacity of the lead-acid battery (B).
