    摘要: The invention relates to a device for protecting passengers in a motor vehicle in the event of an energy input caused by a collision and laterally oriented towards a motor vehicle door. The invention is characterised in that the first and/or second part comprises at least one transducer material which is subjected to a change of mechanical state, especially a form change, by means of the energy supply, bringing both parts together and/or locking the same together. The second part of the connection structure is mounted in a motor vehicle body region directly surrounding the motor vehicle door.
