The resin composition for laser engraving comprising: (Component A) a compound represented by following Formula (1), and (Component B) a binder polymer having a functional group that is capable of reacting with a hydrolyzable silyl group and/or a silanol group and thereby forming a crosslinked structure:
wherein in Formula (1), W, X and Y each independently represent a hydrolyzable group selected from the group consisting of an alkoxy group, an aryloxy group, a mercapto group, a halogen atom, an amide group, an acetoxy group, an amino group and an isopropenoxy group, or a hydroxy group; L represents a divalent linking group or a single bond; Z 1 represents a divalent group having 4 to 45 carbon atoms in total and containing at least two of a unit selected from an ethylene oxide unit and a propylene oxide unit; Z 2 represents an alkyl group having 7 or less carbon atoms, or a benzyl group; and the sum of the numbers of carbon atoms of L, Z 1 and Z 2 is 10 to 50.
