The battery swapping system (100, 200A, 200B) has a power supply system (110, 210) coupled to a power grid (PG) and a grid monitoring system (PM), a battery swapping cabinet (120, 220) accommodating a plurality of swappable batteries (B) and a control system (130, 230). A verification is executed when a swappable battery (B) is placed into the battery swapping cabinet (120, 220), and the swappable battery (B) may be charged or discharge after the verification is passed. When a grid factor is abnormal, the battery swapping system (100, 200A, 200B) stops receiving power from the power grid (PG), and controls the swappable batteries (B) to discharge to provide at the same time a driving power to the battery swapping system (100, 200A, 200B) and an ancillary electric power to the power grid (PG).
