摘要: A method is implemented on a casting device to enable a follow-me mode in which the casting device controls display of media content on an output device coupled to the casting device. The casting device detects a client device associated with the casting device, and determines a proximity of the client device. In accordance with a determination that the client device is within a proximity threshold of the casting device, the casting device receives content information associated with content recently accessed by the client device, obtains the content from a content source in accordance with the content information, and outputs the obtained content to an output device in accordance with the content information.

摘要: In one general aspect, a method can include receiving, by a computing device, a selection of a group of devices that receive content under control of the computing device, and identifying a first device and a second device included in the group of devices. The computing device and each device included in the group of devices can be connected to a network. The first and second devices can be available to receive content, under the control of the computing device, from a server connected to the network that is remote from the group of devices and the computing device. The method can include providing an indication that the content be provided to the first device by the server and providing an indication that at least a portion of the content be provided to the second device synchronously with the providing of the content to the first device.

摘要: A method at a first electronic device with one or more microphones, a speaker, one or more processors, and memory storing one or more programs for execution by the one or more processors, the first electronic device being a member of a local group of connected electronic devices communicatively coupled to a common network service, comprises: receiving a first voice command including a request for a first operation; determining a first target device for the first operation from among the local group of connected electronic devices, wherein the first target device is the first electronic device; establishing a focus session with respect to the first target device; causing the first operation to be performed by the first target device via operation of the common network service; receiving a second voice command including a request for a second operation; determining that the second voice command does not include an explicit designation of a second target device; determining that the second operation can be performed by the first target device; causing the second operation to be performed by the first target device via operation of the common network service; receiving a third voice command including a request for a third operation and an explicit designation of a third target device among the local group of connected electronic devices, wherein the third target device is a second electronic device member of the local group of connected electronic devices, the second electronic device different from the first electronic device; maintaining the focus session with respect to the first target device; and causing the third operation to be performed by the third target device via operation of the common network service.

摘要: In a general aspect, a system for media playback can include a first media playback device configured to receive a media stream from a media casting device over a data network, the first media playback device being a member of the media playback group and a second media playback device configured to receive the media stream, the second media playback device being a member of the media playback group. The first media playback device and the second media playback device can be collectively configured to designate one of the first media playback device and the second media playback device as a leader playback device of the media playback group. The playback device not designated as the leader playback device can be designated as a follower playback device of the media playback group. The first media playback device and the second media playback device can be further collectively configured to determine a clock offset between the leader playback device and the follower playback device. The leader playback device can be configured to receive a broadcast of the media stream over the data network; play the media stream; and provide the media stream to the follower playback device. The follower playback device can be configured to play the media stream in synchronization with the leader playback device based on the clock offset.

摘要: A computer-implemented method, comprises: initiating, by a primary computing device, a voice-interaction mode for operating the primary computing device to receive voice commands from a user and provide audio output in response to the voice commands; transmitting, by the primary computing device to a secondary computing device categorized as a nearby device, a first control signal that configures the nearby device to reduce a volume level associated with an audio stream generated by the nearby device while the primary computing device is operating in the voice-interaction mode; and after the primary computing device is finished operating in the voice-interaction mode, transmitting, by the primary computing device to the nearby device, a second control signal that configures the nearby device to return to a previous volume level.
