Abstract:
An image display device is disclosed. The image display device includes a communication part for receiving information on an integrated frequency band corresponding to a region where the image display device is located from a server, a display part, a processor, a memory, and one or more programs stored in the memory and executed by the processor. The one or more programs include instructions for searching a channel that can be received by the image display device among channels included in the integrated frequency band and displaying the search result on the display part. The integrated frequency band may be a frequency band determined based on frequency bands that can be received by other image display devices located in the same region as the image display device. It is possible to minimize time required for searching the channel.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus to verify and/or correct media lineup information are disclosed. An example method includes comparing presentation data representative of media output by a first set top box (STB) to reference data corresponding to a first station to determine whether the media presentation data corresponds to the reference data, the presentation data collected while the first STB was tuned to a first channel. The method further includes determining a second station that corresponds to the presentation data when the presentation data does not correspond to the reference data. The method further includes correcting a first channel map that relates the first channel to the first station by relating the first channel to the second station to create a second channel map, and correcting clickstream data that represents commands to other STBs using the second channel map.
Abstract:
A method of receiving a video program and information related to the video program by a first device registered in a user account of a user at a server as a handheld device is disclosed. The method comprises sending location information of the first device to the server; sending a request to the server for the video program; receiving the video program according the location information; and receiving information related to the video program according the location information.
Abstract:
The present disclosure includes a system and method for scheduling changes. In an example of scheduling changes according to the present disclosure, a usage pattern of a number of services (104-1, 104-2, 104-N, 236) is determined, a window of time in which the usage pattern includes fewer transactions than the usage pattern during a number of other windows of time is determined (116, 216, 352); and a change (238) during the window of time in which the usage pattern includes fewer transactions than the usage pattern during a number of other windows of time is scheduled (116, 216, 354).
Abstract:
An image display apparatus is disclosed. The image display apparatus includes a display, an interface unit to exchange data with at least one external device, and a controller to perform a control operation to display, when a first mirroring image is received from a first external device, the first mirroring image and to display, when a second mirroring image is received from a second external device, the second mirroring image.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention provide an ROI video request processing method and an ROI video request processing apparatus. The method includes: obtaining an ROI video request sent by a receiving device; selecting a first proximity ROI video from proximity ROI videos, where the proximity ROI videos are generated ROI videos that include at least a partial region in a target region indicated by the ROI video request; and sending the first proximity ROI video to the receiving device. According to the embodiments, when receiving an ROI video request, a sending device may select a proximity ROI video from generated ROI videos, and send the proximity ROI video to a receiving device. In this way, the ROI video request can be met without consuming an encoder resource, so as to break through limitation caused by an encoder resource amount to a quantity of ROI video requests that can be simultaneously met by the sending device.
Abstract:
Various features described herein may be embodied in various apparatuses (116). An apparatus may recommend content to a viewer. The apparatus may receive a selection from the viewer of a context to associate with the content. The context may be included in a list of contexts displayed for the viewer. The context may be a period of time selected by the viewer. The context may be a weather condition selected by the viewer. The context may be a location selected by the viewer. When the context does not exist, the apparatus may refrain from providing the content as a recommendation for the viewer. Afterwards, the apparatus may add the content to a queue associated with the context. When the context does exist, the apparatus may provide the content as a recommendation for the viewer. Various methods (500) and computer-readable medium (212) may also provide various embodiments of such features.
