    摘要: A method of catalytic combustion using a heat-resistant catalyst suitable for combustion at a temperature ranging from 800°C tp 1500°C is disclosed. The catalyst has a carrier which may be La-β-Al₂O₃ or another rear earth-alumina or a Group IIa, IIIa or IV oxide, nitride or carbide. Particles of a platinum group metal are dispersed on the carrier as active component. Dispersed on the particles of active component are particles of base metal selected from Mg, Mn, Ni, Co, Sr, Nb, Zn, Sn, Cr and Zr. The base metal has the effect of suppressing agglomeration of the active component at high temperature.
