Abstract: Provided is a high-pressure fuel supply pump that maintains oil-tight performance even when the fuel pressure is high, and includes a small and lightweight discharge valve structure. The structure prevents the reduction in oil-tight performance caused by the deformation of the seat part due to the high back pressure that the discharge valve receives. The structure also makes the provision of a flow path compatible with the size reduction and weight reduction of the discharge valve. The valve body of the discharge valve includes a guide part and a curved contact surface. Thus, the seat part is formed with Hertzian contact and this formation exerts high oil-tightness even when a high back pressure is applied to the valve body. The guide part is provided to the valve body. This provision determines the position of the curved contact surface. This determination reduces the size and weight of the valve body.

Abstract: To increase a valve-opening pressure at which a pressure relief valve is opened in order to deal with a higher pressure of the fuel, a large pressure relief valve is installed in a high-pressure fuel supply pump. This upsizes the high-pressure fuel supply pump. A pressure relief valve is installed in a discharge joint. This can provide a high-pressure fuel supply pump that is not large too much and sufficiently performs a relief function by efficiently using the excessive space in the pump even when the fuel pressure is increased.

Abstract: An electromagnetic valve configured to decay the cavitation occurring around a moving part of the electromagnetic valve and prevent the occurrence of erosion is provided. A configuration in which the cavitation bubbles generated around the moving part of the electromagnetic valve are captured and decayed and the occurrence of erosion is prevented is compatible with the low cost for the electromagnetic valve. Abstract: A high-pressure fuel supply pump in which a relief valve mechanism is not detached by a force generated by a differential pressure between an inlet side and an output side of a relief valve mechanism is obtained. According to the present invention, in order to obtain the high-pressure fuel supply pump, the relief valve mechanism of the high-pressure fuel supply pump is oriented from a downstream side of a discharge valve to an upstream side of the discharge valve, and the output side of the relief valve mechanism is inserted from the upstream side of the discharge valve into the pump housing, and the relief valve mechanism is fixed with press fitting. Therefore, a force exerted by the differential pressure between the inlet side pressure and the output side pressure of the relief valve mechanism is exerted in a direction in which the relief valve mechanism is inserted, so that the relief valve mechanism can be prevented from being detached.
