    Abstract: The invention relates to a proportional valve that can be electromagnetically actuated for controlling the delivery rate of a high-pressure fuel pump, comprising an electromagnet (1) for acting on an armature (2) that can be moved in a reciprocating manner, wherein the armature (2) is coupled to an axially movable valve piston (4) by means of a tappet (3) such that the stroke of the armature (2) causes an axial movement of the valve piston (4) against the spring force of a spring (5). According to the invention, the axially movable valve piston (4) is accommodated in a flanged bush (6), by means of which the proportional valve can be connected to a housing part (7) of the high-pressure fuel pump. The invention further relates to a high-pressure fuel pump having such a proportional valve for controlling the delivery rate.
