摘要: A plurality of tumblers (6) adapted to engage with tumbler engaging grooves (1₂) of an outer cylinder (1) and a pair of cylinder pins (8) are radially slidably supported on an inner cylinder (2) rotatably supported within the outer cylinder (1). When a key (K) is properly inserted to the end of a key hole (2₁), the tumblers (6) are disengaged from the tumbler engaging grooves (1₂) by code valleys (K₁) of the key (K), and the pair of cylinder pins (8) are disengaged from the tumbler engaging grooves (1₂) by a tip end (K₂) of the key (K), so that the inner cylinder (2) is allowed to rotate. When the key (K) is improperly inserted to the end of the key hole (2₁) to be turned, engagement of the cylinder pins (8) of a high rigidity with the tumbler engaging grooves (1₂) restricts the rotation of the inner cylinder (2) to prevent the tumblers (6) from being damaged.
