    摘要: The invention is concerned with a rear brake system of a straddle type vehicle (such as a motorcycle) where the reaction force on the brake pedal can be easily adjusted.
    A rear brake system has a rod R extending from a master cylinder 25. The operational force of a brake pedal 26 is applied to the rod R and thus to the master cylinder 25. A coil spring 62 is coaxially arranged with the rod R and provides a reaction force on the brake pedal 26 to return it to the position in which it was in before operating the master cylinder. A reaction adjustment mechanism is provided on the rod R and is configured so as to be movable in the axial direction of the rod R. Depending on the axial position of the reaction adjustment mechanism, the axial length of the coil spring 62 (and thus the reaction force) can be adjusted.
