In some implementations of the present invention, the method includes: receiving, by an intermediate SN, an extended first Border Gateway Protocol BGP packet sent by a downstream SN that is on the service chain path and immediately adjacent to the intermediate SN, where the extended first BGP packet includes a service chain path identifier and a first service chain path, the service chain path identifier is used to identify the service chain path, and the first service chain path is a path including a service chain path from an ingress SN to the intermediate SN; determining, by the intermediate SN, an upstream SN that is on the first service chain path and immediately adjacent to the intermediate SN; and sending, by the intermediate SN, an extended second BGP packet to the upstream SN, where the extended second BGP packet includes the service chain path identifier and a second service chain path, and the second service chain path is a path including a service chain path from the ingress SN to the upstream SN.

    摘要: The present application discloses a method, an apparatus, and a system for load balancing of a service chain. The method includes: receiving, by a flow classifier, a service chain selection and control policy sent by a policy and charging rules function PCRF unit; hashing, by the flow classifier according to the hash quantity, a service flow corresponding to the service chain identifier, to obtain multiple subflows, and adding the service chain identifier and hashing factors to packets of the subflows, where different subflows correspond to different hashing factors; and sending, by the flow classifier, the packets of the subflows after the service chain identifier and the hashing factors are added, to a forwarding device. In this way, a quantity of load balancing devices in the service chain can be reduced while a load balancing function is implemented.

    摘要: A method and a system for exercising policy control, a policy and charging enforcement function (PCEF), and a policy control and charging rules function (PCRF) are provided, which can solve the problem that no policy control can be exercised over application service flows without an application function (AF). The method includes of the following steps: a PCRF receiving information about an application event sent by a PCEF; and the PCRF generating a control policy for a service flow of the application according to the information about the application event, and delivering the control policy to the PCEF. In the present invention, the PCEF sends the obtained information about the application event to the PCRF, so that even when no AF is involved, the PCRF can still generate a control policy according to policy contexts including the information about the application event and the like, so as to exercise an effective policy control over the QoS guarantee, charging and gating of the service flow, thus meeting the requirements of exercising the policy control over data applications with no AF being involved.

    摘要: The embodiments of present invention discloses a method for controlling service data flows transmitted in a tunnel, an information sending apparatus, an information enforcing apparatus, and an information reporting apparatus, and relates to the network communications field. With the embodiments of present invention, an access gateway (AGW) can implement correct policy control on data packets transmitted in a tunnel. The method for controlling service data flows transmitted in a tunnel includes: receiving policy information and identification information of service data flows transmitted in a tunnel; and enforcing policy operations on the service data flows according to the policy information and identification information of the service data flows transmitted in the tunnel. In the embodiments of present invention, a policy enforcement function (PEF) may identify data packets transmitted in a tunnel according to the received policy information and identification information. This solves the problem that the PEF cannot identify data packets transmitted in the tunnel in the prior art, and achieves the objectives of controlling the data packets transmitted in the tunnel, allocating access resources to the data packets, and improving the quality of service (QoS).
