A method for restoring link failure and apparatus thereof, is used to restore the inter-domain failure. The method comprises: determining the upstream node and downstream node of the link with inter-domain link failure, enabling the local link restoration; implementing the local restoration for the link failure by taking the said upstream node and downstream node as source-destination nodes. As only the link between the upstream node and downstream node of the failed link is required to locally restored, thus the restored path can be dynamically calculated or preconfigured, as well as be resource reserved so as to achieve sharing the restoring bandwidth, and the restoring speed of inter-domain failure is greatly increased and the bandwidth is saved.

After the activation of multi-hierarchy ASON, the Node address is converged and the converged address is fed up/fed down first, and then inter-domain link between each hierarchy is fed up. The invention enables each Node in the network to determine the reachability to any other Node in the network, thereby to calculate the route from source to destination, and to determine whether anyone of the TE (traffic engineering) link in the multi-hierarchy ASON is inner-domain link or inter-domain link.

The method includes: obtaining candidate node pairs according to a monitored bandwidth occupied by each of paths and router nodes that each of the paths passes through, in which a bandwidth between each candidate node pair exceeds a preset bandwidth threshold; and selecting a node pair from the candidate node pairs as two endpoints of the direct-connected optical path according to a preset routing policy. A server for determining a direct-connected optical path is further provided. A system for establishing an optical path is further provided. Thus, the network topology can be dynamically adjusted, and the network resources can be dynamically optimized.

The present invention refers to the field of network communication technique, and in examples a method for realizing service protection in the automatically switched optical network is provided. The method includes following steps: after any defect occurs on the work paths that carry the service, the first node and the last node of the said work paths send the requests to recover the paths establishment in opposite directions respectively; the middle nodes on the recovering paths establish connections according to the recovering paths establishment request, and transmit the said recovering paths establishment request in every hopping, until the establishment of the said recovering paths is finished; the service is switched from the said work paths to the said recovering paths. A system for realizing service protection in the automatically switched optical network and a node device in the automatically switched optical network are also provided. The paths recovering process can be faster observably using this invention, and the recovering time can be cut, and the work efficiency and reliability can be improved, and the service can be promised to set right.
