摘要： This application provides a method for migrating a virtual machine and an apparatus. The method is applied to a source-end physical host, the source-end physical host includes a host machine operating system and a source-end virtual machine running in the host machine operating system, and the host machine operating system includes a PF driver. The method includes: sending, by the source-end virtual machine, a first instruction to the source-end pass-through device by using the PF driver, where the first instruction is used to instruct the source-end pass-through device to record a storage address of dirty page data, and the dirty page data is data written by the source-end pass-through device to the source-end virtual machine in a direct memory access DMA manner; obtaining, by the source-end virtual machine, the storage address of the dirty page data of the source-end pass-through device; and sending, by the source-end virtual machine, to-be-migrated data to the destination-end virtual machine, where the to-be-migrated data includes the dirty page data of the source-end virtual machine. According to the technical solutions of this application, memory consistency, before and after a migration process, of a virtual machine configured with a pass-through device can be ensured.

摘要： This application provides an IO request processing method, used in an external device. The external device includes a processor and a first hardware interface, and the first hardware interface is an interface that supports a PCIe protocol. The external device communicates with a physical host through the first hardware interface. The method includes: The processor synchronizes, through the first hardware interface, queue information in storage space of a virtual machine running on the physical host to storage space of the external device, where the queue information includes one or more input/output IO requests; and the processor sends the one or more IO requests to a storage server or a network server for processing. According to this application, all hardware resources of the physical host can be used to provide virtual machine services for users, thereby improving utilization of hardware resources of the physical host.

摘要： Embodiments of the present invention disclose a data processing method and a related device. The method may include: receiving, by a source physical machine, a first data packet, where the first data packet includes first data, and a destination address of the first data is a first virtual machine; generating, by the source physical machine, a second data packet, where the second data packet includes the first data and an identifier of a second virtual machine, the second virtual machine is the first virtual machine after being live migrated from the source physical machine to a destination physical machine, and the identifier of the second virtual machine is used to identify the second virtual machine on the destination physical machine; and sending, by the source physical machine, the second data packet to the destination physical machine. The embodiments of the present invention can effectively reduce network interruption time in a virtual machine live migration process, and avoid communication interruption.
