The invention relates to agents having a pH value of between 2 and 6.5, said agents containing a combination of: (a) at least one organic compound, which carries at least one thiol group and at least one optionally derivatised carboxyl group, for example L-cysteine; (b) at least one inorganic compound selected from the group that is formed from cyclic, organic carbonates, glycerin and derivatives thereof and C 4 -C 12 fatty acid dimethylamides; (c) at least one (C 10 to C 30 ) fatty alcohol; and (d) at least one emulsifier selected from at least one compound of the group consisting of (i) (C 10 to C 30 ) fatty alcohols that are alkoxylated with between 2 and 100 units (C 2 - and/or C 3 -) alcohol ether, (ii) amphoteric emulsifiers substituted with at least one (C 10 to C 30 ) hydrocarbon group. These low-odour agents can be used in the rapid and effective decolorization of dyed fibres containing keratin, in particular human hair.
