The invention relates to a pasty single-component polyurethane adhesive based on at least one polyurethane pre-polymer with an NCO terminal and at least one thickener, in addition to optionally at least one additive. According to the invention, A) the polyurethane pre-polymer with an NCO terminal is substantially linear, B) the thickener is a highly disperse silicic acid in a concentration of between 2.0 and 8.0 % by weight in relation to the pre-polymer, and C) the additive constitutes less than 10 % by weight in relation to the pre-polymer. The invention thus fulfils the practical requirements for an adhesive used for construction and assembly, both in terms of fluidity and non-sag properties.

The invention relates to pourable, fine-particle dry powders based on a water-soluble and/or water-distendable combination of non-ionogenic cellulose ethers and dried redispersion polymers mixed, if desired, with other additives with and/or without adhesive force. The new dry powders are characterized by a particle structure with the closed nuclei of the non-ionogenic cellulose ethers surrounded by a sheath for the redispersion polymers to which they firmly adhere. In another embodiment, the invention relates to a method for producing these new pourable dry powders, characterized in that the non-ionogenic cellulose ethers in powder form are mixed with the aqueous polymer dispersion and the temperature of the aqueous phase is maintained at least at the cloudiness or flocculation point of the non-ionogenic cellulose ether or above. Under these conditions, the aqueous mixture of substances is spray-dried. The new composite materials are suitable for a wide range of applications as adhesives and/or binders with improved properties.

The invention concerns an aqueous dispersion adhesive based on polyvinylacetate and an addition of between 0.1 and 2.0 wt % pyrogenic silicic acid, the dispersion containing less than 5 wt % high-boiling solvents. The polyvinylacetate dispersions are preferably dispersions which produce watertight adhesion pursuant to European standard DIN EN 204. The dispersion adhesives according to the invention are characterized not only by a thixotropic creamy consistency but also by a long open time, rapid setting behaviour, and high resistance to heat. These adhesives are suitable in particular for bonding wood and wooden materials.
