Each icon (98) represents a separate one of the plurality of controlled functions. The apparatus (30) also includes an indicator associated with each icon (98), a single select switch (84) located on the surface (96) of the control unit (46), and at least one adjustment switch (86, 88) located on the control unit (46) to control the function selected using the select switch (84). The select switch (86, 88) is actuatable to scroll sequentially through the plurality of different functions. The control unit (46) is configured to actuate the indicator corresponding to a function selected as the select switch (84) is actuated to scroll through the plurality of different controlled functions.

    摘要: Person support apparatuses having exercise features are disclosed herein. In various embodiments, a person support apparatus includes a support surface, a footboard, a sensor, and a passive resistance mechanism. The support surface has a foot end and a head end, and the footboard is located near the foot end of the support surface, extending above the support surface. The footboard may include a pressure surface positioned to receive a pressing force. The footboard is freely slidable from an extended position to a retracted position with respect to the foot end of the support surface. The sensor provides a signal indicative of a magnitude of the pressing force incident on the pressure surface of the footboard. The passive resistance mechanism is coupled to the footboard, and resists a motion of the footboard to the extended position.
