An assembly of a beam absorber (1) for synchrotron radiation beams and a piping (2) for cooling the beam absorber (1) is mounted in a charged particle beam duct (5) of a bending section (10) for bending a charged particle beam. Fixed to at least one of straight ducts (8) connectable to the opposite ends of the charged particle beam duct (5) is a piping guide duct (7) through which the beam absorber cooling piping (2) is drawn to the outside, so that the assembly of the beam absorber (1) and beam absorber cooling piping (2) can readily be mounted in the synchrotron radiation source.

A high efficiency coolant collection type gas turbine is obtained by forming coolant supply and collection flow paths for moving blades in a more outer peripheral side of a gas turbine rotor than a hub, supplying the coolant supplied from a shaft end into the moving blades through the supply flow path and collecting the coolant after cooling the blades and supplying to coolant into a combustion chamber side. For this purpose a distant piece is provided between the compressor and the turbine. A spacer is inserted between the distant piece and the disc of the first turbine stage. A flowpath formed by a cavity between the distant piece and the spacer is lined with heat shielding material in order to protect the structure from high temperatures.

A gas turbine includes a rotor shaft comprising a plurality of discs (8, 9, 10, 11, 12a). Each disc (8, 9, 10, 11, 12a) has a plurality of moving blades (4, 5, 6, 7, 7a) driven by combustion gas and arranged annularly on the peripheral portion. Spacers (11a, 13, 14, 15) are arranged between the discs (8, 9, 10, 11, 12a), the respective discs (8, 9, 10, 11, 12a) and the spacers (11a, 13, 14, 15) being arranged in the axial direction. The moving blades (4, 5, 6, 7, 7a) are provided with flow paths (8a, 9a) for introducing coolant for cooling and discharging the coolant heated by the combustion gas. Contact surfaces (16a, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36) contacting both the discs (8, 9, 10, 11, 12a) in rotor peripheral side regions and adjacent spacers (11a, 13, 14, 15) are formed therebetween. A supply flow path (8a) passes through the discs (8, 9, 10, 11, 12a) and the spacers (11a, 13, 14, 15) in the regions forming the contact surfaces (16a, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36) and supply the coolant for cooling the moving blades (4, 5, 6, 7, 7a). A recovery flow path (9a) recovers the coolant which is heated by the moving blades (4, 5, 6, 7, 7a).
