摘要： A shift apparatus (1) includes a shift lever (2) operable to select a first mode of a transmission when the shift lever (2) is disposed at a first position and to select a second mode of the transmission when the shift lever (2) is disposed at a second position, and a base (3) supporting the shift lever. The shift lever (2) automatically returns to a home position after selecting the first mode or the second mode. When moving the shift lever (2) from the home position to the first position to select the first mode, the shift lever (2) is moved in a first direction and then in a second direction which is different from and not directly opposite to the first direction. When moving the shift lever (2) from the first position to the second position to select the second mode, the shift lever (2) is moved in a third direction which is different from the first and second directions and not directly opposite to the second direction.

摘要： There is provided a shift control device (1a) which is provided in a shift operation unit including: a plurality of shift positions (D,N,R,H) corresponding to states of a transmission; a shift lever which selects one of the plurality of shift positions; a home position (H) to which the shift lever automatically returns; and a shift position detecting unit which outputs a shift position signal when the shift lever is positioned in one of the plurality of shift positions, the shift control device detecting, when the shift position signal is input to the shift control device for more than a recognition time period set for the shift position where the shift lever is positioned, that the shift position is selected or that the shift operation unit has a failure, and including a deterioration state detecting unit which detects a deterioration degree of the shift operation unit, wherein the recognition time period is changed in accordance with the deterioration degree.
