摘要: A cogeneration system allows an engine to continuously operate even when there is no demand for hot feedwater. The system comprises a hot water tank (23) for storing hot water heated from cold water by heat released by an engine (11) that drives a generator (13). When the heat of the water in the hot water tank exceeds a predetermined temperature, a control is performed so that a drain valve (37) is opened and the hot water in the tank is released.

摘要: A cogeneration apparatus (10) suitable for indoor installation includes: an airtight chamber (12) provided within a housing (11), at least a power generator (17) and an engine (16) being accommodated within the airtight chamber (12); an intake duct (29) connected to the airtight chamber for introducing air from outside the housing (11) into the airtight chamber; and an exhaust duct (28) connected to the engine for discharging exhaust gas of the engine. The air introduced through the intake duct (29) cools the interior of the airtight chamber (12) and is also sucked in to an air cleaner (41) of the engine, and the exhaust gas of the engine is discharged directly to outside the airtight chamber (12) through the exhaust duct (28).

The system has a cooling water circulation channel (21) for returning cooling water of the engine (11) to the engine after some of the cooling water has been removed. The cooling water circulation channel is provided with a cooling water pump (22) for pressure-feeding the cooling water; electricity supplying means (71); and a control part (43) for performing a control so that electrical energy is supplied from the electricity supplying means to a motor (22a) for driving the cooling water pump when a power outage signal is received.
