    摘要： An ink reservoir (2) and a slide plug (6) are slidably provided in a pen barrel (1). The ink reservoir (2) is filled with liquid ink. The slide plug (6) divides the interior of the pen barrel (1) into an ink region and an air region. A writing tip (4) is provided in the distal end portion of the pen barrel (1) so as to be movable axially. An elastically deformable diaphragm member (13) is provided in the pen barrel (1). The diaphragm member (13) divides the interior of the pen barrel (1) into a writing tip side region and an ink reservoir side region and is elastically deformed toward the ink reservoir (2) when a writing pressure is applied to the writing tip (4). The diaphragm member (13) is formed with an opening (14) which opens to cause the ink reservoir (2) to communicate with the writing tip (4) when the diaphragm member (13) is elastically deformed. Upon writing, the diaphragm member (13) is elastically deformed to pressurize the ink in the ink reservoir (2). In this case, the slide plug (6) slides to restrict the upper limit of the ink pressure to a predetermined value. Ink under the predetermined pressure is supplied from the ink reservoir (2) to the writing tip (4) through the opening (14).

The valve body is formed by that unhardened synthetic resin, which is supplied to contact at least the valve seat of the valve base and the valve body fixing portion, is hardened as it is. The synthe­tic resin material has elasticity and a characteristic of non-adhesion to the valve base (11). Since the valve body (12) has a surface having a shape, which correctly corresponds to the minute concave and convex portions of the valve seat (16), and is adhered to the valve seat, the interior leakage is prevented, and the valve gear correctly actuates with minute pressure.

    摘要： A writing instrument has an ink reservoir (22) under pressure. Compressed ink in the ink reservoir (22) is supplied through an ink passage (27) to a ball tip (24) also acting as a valve body. A push rod (32) is inserted in the ink passage (27) and is intended to urge the ball (26) forward. The ball tip (24) is in a closed state when the writing instrument is used and is in an open state when the writing instrument is used for supplying ink. A stirring weight (31) is housed in the ink reservoir (22). When the writing instrument is swung, the stirring weight (31) is moved to stir ink in the ink reservoir (22). The stirring weight (31) interferes with the push rod (32) to displace it. The push rod (32) is displaced to stir ink in the ink passage (27) whereby ink containing air and/or air bubbles in the ink passage (27) is removed.
