A method and an apparatus for transmitting control information are disclosed. The method includes: grouping user UEs in a cell, and obtaining second control information of each UE group after grouping; performing joint channel coding on the second control information of each UE group; obtaining first control information, and transmitting the first control information to the UEs in the cell, where the first control information includes indication information of the second control information, on which joint channel coding has been performed, of each UE group, so as to obtain the second control information according to the indication information; and transmitting the second control information, on which joint channel coding has been performed, of each UE group to the UEs in the cell. In the method, the UEs in the cell are grouped, and joint coding and transmission are performed on control information of a UE level in each group, which can significantly improve transmission efficiency of the control information, thereby improving a system capacity of a network, and solving a problem that a control channel capacity is limited.

Another method for sending channel state information includes: receiving the number of bits used for quantizing a relative received power value; selecting a received power codebook index value from multiple received power codebook index values; and sending the selected received power codebook index value to a base station. The above solutions can reduce a feedback overhead, improve a CSI feedback effect, realize antenna selection, and further improve overall system performance, and further are capable of multiplexing the precoding codebook of the existing centralized antenna system, thereby reducing complexity of the system.

Embodiments of the present invention disclose a transmit diversity method, a related device, and a system, which mainly includes: configuring two different antenna ports separately for different antennas in a network, so that the antennas can use transmit diversity based on the configured antenna ports. In one aspect, because two antenna ports are used in the network to perform transmit diversity, a diversity gain of multiple antennas is obtained; in another aspect, a cavity position caused by a completely identical precoding codebook used in the network is avoided, and therefore network communication performance is improved. In conclusion, the technical solutions according to the embodiments of the present invention efficiently use the transmit diversity of the multiple antennas to acquire the diversity gain, so as to improve network communication performance.
