The method includes: determining a channel for transmitting a HARQ-ACK; determining a HARQ-ACK feedback bit; and sending the HARQ-ACK feedback bit on the channel. According to this application, transmission of a HARQ-ACK between a UE and a base station can be implemented in a scenario where carrier aggregation is performed between base stations having a non-ideal backhaul.

In the field of wireless communication, a method and an apparatus for transmitting Uplink Control Information (UCI) are provided. The method includes: determining a codeword corresponding to the UCI among multiple codewords according to a preset rule when the UCI is transmitted on a Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH) with the multiple codewords (101); and transmitting the UCI by mapping the UCI onto the corresponding codeword (102). The apparatus includes a determining unit and a transmitting unit. The method and the apparatus provide a solution to transmitting UCI on a PUSCH with multiple codewords. This solution can be implemented easily based on LTE R8, without involving too much additional work of standardization.

The sending method includes: determining a target frequency resource, wherein a frequency domain position of the target frequency resource is determined based on a frequency interval of synchronization channels, the frequency interval of synchronization channels is 2^m times 180 kHz, and m is a preset nonnegative integer; and sending a synchronization signal by using the target frequency resource. This is for the benefit of increasing a quantity of candidate frequency resources of the synchronization signal, thereby increasing available frequency domain mapping positions for the synchronization signal.

A method and an apparatus for transmitting information bits are provided. The method for transmitting information bits includes: dividing the information bits to be transmitted into at least two groups; encoding the information bits to be transmitted in each group; modulating the coded bits obtained by the encoding to obtain modulation symbols, in which each modulation symbol is obtained by using the modulation of the coded bits in the same group; and mapping and transmitting the modulation symbols. In this way, the receiving end easily reduces the algorithm complexity, thereby ensuring the performance of the receiving end.
