Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for adjusting a packet duration for triggered uplink (UL) transmissions to an access point (AP) from one or more stations (STAs). In one aspect, the AP may estimate an amount of data that a STA has queued for UL transmission and select the packet duration based on the estimated amount of queued UL data. The AP may transmit a trigger frame that solicits UL data from the STA and indicates the selected packet duration. In response, the AP may receive an UL packet from the STA and determine an amount of UL data queued in the STA based on the UL packet. In some implementations, the AP may selectively adjust the packet duration for UL transmissions based on the UL packet, the determined amount of UL data queued in the STA, or both.

Abstract: This application provides a communication method and apparatus, and relates to the field of wireless communication. The method may include: receiving a first request message from an application function network element; when type information of a service flow in the first request message indicates that the service flow is an end-to-end service flow, obtaining access information of an ingress terminal and access information of an egress terminal based on information about a target terminal group in the first request message; decomposing quality of service information of the service flow in the first request message based on the access information of the ingress terminal and the access information of the egress terminal to obtain uplink quality of service information and downlink quality of service information; and triggering a network to configure a session of the ingress terminal based on the uplink quality of service information, and configure a session of the egress terminal based on the downlink quality of service information. In the foregoing method, quality of service decomposition can be performed on the end-to-end service flow, to implement deterministic transmission of the service flow.

Abstract: A communication method and apparatus are provided. The method includes: A network repository function network element receives a discovery request message from a first network element, where the discovery request message includes a type of a network element that requests to be discovered. The network repository function network element determines a second network element based on the type of the network element that requests to be discovered. The network repository function network element sends an identifier of a first dataset, a first token, and an identifier of the second network element to the first network element, where the first dataset includes data for evaluating a status of communication between the second network element and another network element, and the first token authorizes the first network element to obtain the first dataset. According to the foregoing designs, the network repository function network element can not only provide, to the first network element, an identifier of a network element of the type of the network element that requests to be discovered, but also provide, to the first network element, information needed for obtaining the dataset, so that the first network element can determine, based on the dataset, whether to access the network element that requests to be discovered this time.
