摘要:
Cyclotron for accelerating charged particles around an axis, comprising an electromagnet with an upper pole and a lower pole, producing a magnetic field in the direction of said axis; a Dee electrode assembly and a counter Dee electrode assembly separated from each other by a gap for accelerating said charged particles and a pair of ion sources (1, 2) located in a central region of the cyclotron. Said ion sources (1, 2) are located at a distance of said axis such that the particles emitted from the first ion source (1) pass between said first (1) and second (2) ion sources after a path of half a turn, and radially outwards of the second ion source (2) after a path of three half-turns, and reciprocally.

Medical apparatus comprising: -a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system for acquiring magnetic resonance data from an imaging zone (Vp), wherein the magnetic resonance imaging system comprises: -a particle beam apparatus (1) having a particle beam line for producing, directing and managing a particle beam of charged particles, -magnetic correcting means (31, 31a, 31b, 31c) for applying a magnetic correction to a magnetic field perturbation within the imaging volume (Vp) -controlling means (33, 4) for controlling said magnetic correcting means (31, 31a, 31b, 31c), wherein said controlling means are configured to provide a spatially optimized magnetic correction within a restricted volume of said imaging volume (Vp) during a spatially optimized magnetic correction period (Po), said spatially optimized magnetic correction period (Po) being posterior to said excitation period (Pe), wherein a selected slice (Vpi) from the imaging volume Vp is excited, and including at least one spatial encoding period (Pp, Pf) of the pulse sequence, said restricted volume comprising said selected slice (Vpi).
摘要:
The invention relates to an apparatus comprising a hadron therapy device and a magnetic resonance imaging device (MRI). The MRI is an open MRI, for acquiring magnetic resonance data in the MRI imaging volume. The nozzle is fixed and positioned for directing a beam along a beam path substantially along said axis, or substantially perpendicularly to said axis. The apparatus comprises a patient support system adapted for supporting a patient in a non-supine position in said MRI. The invention also relates to methods for adapting a treatment plan to movements of organs resulting from displacement of a patient from a supine position wherein treatment plan imaging was performed to a non-supine position for performing the treatment.
