摘要： A metal gasket (1) is formed of a metal base plate (10) for sealing between two members. The metal gasket (1) has a bead (12) around a cylinder bore (2) and a bead (13) around a fluid hole (3) on the metal base plate (10). Coatings (30a, 30b) are applied on both surfaces of the beads (12, 13), respectively. When the metal gasket (1) is tightened, strong sealing surface pressures are locally generated at sealing line portions (A, B, C) of the beads (12, 13). The coatings (30a, 30b) are applied only on other portions except for the sealing line portions (A, B, C).

摘要： A cylinder head gasket (1) for an internal combustion engine is formed of one metal plate (10) having a base portion extending substantially throughout an entire area to be sealed, a hole (2) formed in the base portion corresponding to the hole of the engine, and a bead (11) surrounding the hole. A resin coating (20a-20f) is deposited on at least a part of the bead of the metal plate. Thus, the bead is reinforced and sealing ability is improved.
