    摘要: Polymers are provided that are derived from at least (A) N-vinyl formamide, (B) one vinyl amide moiety or one acrylamide moiety, and (C) a reaction solvent. The polymers are random, block, or alternating polymers. A particular useful poly-mer comprises about 20% N-vinyl formamide, about 50% N-vinyl-&egr;-caprolactam, about 30% N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone, being synthesized in ethylene glycol. In preferred embodiments, polymers of the invention exhibit a cloud point temperature of 66° C. or more, inhibit the formation of gas hydrates, and/or inhibit corrosion. Especially preferred uses of the polymers are in oilfield operations as gas hydrate inhibitors and/or corrosion inhibitors.
