摘要: This invention is a method for lowering the benzene content in a gasoline base material in which hydrogenation and isomerization can take place without separating benzene from the gasoline base material and formation of decomposition products with a carbon number less than or equal to 4 can be suppressed. In this method, when benzene or a benzene-containing hydrocarbon is hydrogenated and isomerized in the presence of a solid super acid catalyst, benzene in the gasoline base material is efficiently converted to methylcyclopentane. The amounts of decomposition products with a carbon number less than or equal to 4 generated by the method is very small. Furthermore, benzene content can be reduced to less than 0.01%.

摘要: A method for reducing the content of benzene in a gasoline base which enables hydrisomerization of benzene in a gasoline base without separating the same and is reduced in the content of degradation products having four or less carbon atoms. According to this method, the hydrisomerization of benzene or a benzene-containing hydrocarbon in the presence of a solid super acid catalyst enables benzene in a gasoline base to be efficiently converted to methylcyclopentane and, in addition, scarcely yields degradation products having four or less carbon atoms. Further, the benzene content can be reduced to 0.01 % or below.
