Abstract:
Provided is a tobacco material comprising: leaf tobacco particles having an average particle size of 30 µm or less; and a dispersion medium for dispersing the particles.
Abstract:
A tobacco-flavor-releasing material comprising granules which contain (a) a ground tobacco material, (b) water, (c) a moisturizing agent comprising a polyhydric alcohol, (d) at least one pH-adjusting agent selected from the group consisting of potassium carbonate and sodium hydrogencarbonate, and (e) at least one binder selected from the group consisting of pullulan and hydroxypropyl cellulose.
Abstract:
A cigarette filter comprises a filter plug (121) that includes a filter material containing a cellulose acetate fiber tow (122), and filtration rate control particles (124) dispersed in the tow and selected from cellulose particles, cellulose triacetate particles and a mixture thereof. A cigarette comprises the cigarette filter.
Abstract:
A flavorant-carrying adsorbent particle comprising an adsorbent core particle having a BET specific surface area of 700 m 2 /g or greater, and a flavor-generating medium carried on the surface of the adsorbent core particle and including a flavorant and a flavorant-holding material holding the flavorant, wherein the flavorant-holding material is present in an amount of 5 to 20% with respect to a total weight of the flavorant-carrying adsorbent particle, and the flavorant is present in an amount of 10 to 50% with respect to a weight of the flavorant-holding material.
Abstract:
A method of capturing volatile components whereby volatile components contained in a solid substance such as tobacco leaves can be surely captured. An apparatus provided with a sample tube (10) in which a sample comprising a solid substance containing volatile components is contained, a gas-filling unit (16) by which an inert gas is filled into the sample tube, a thermostat (12) in which the sample tube is packed and the sample contained in the sample tube is maintained at a definite temperature, and a canister (20) which is selectively connected to the sample tube under preliminarily reduced pressure. After filling the sample tube contained a sample (S) therein with an inert gas, the sample is maintained at a definite temperature. Next, the canister under preliminarily reduced pressure is connected to the sample tube and the components vaporized from the sample are thus captured.
Abstract:
A flavorant-carrying low adsorbent particle comprising a low adsorbent core particle having a BET specific surface area of less than 700 m 2 /g, and a flavor-generating medium carried on the surface of the low adsorbent core particle and including a flavorant and a flavorant-holding material holding the flavorant, wherein the flavorant-holding material is present in an amount of 5 to 20% with respect to a total weight of the flavorant-carrying low adsorbent particle, and the flavorant is present in an amount of 10 to 50% with respect to a weight of the flavorant-holding material.
