A method for estimating coke strength after reaction, the method including a heating process of heating ground coke to a predetermined temperature range in an inert gas atmosphere and/or in a CO2 atmosphere, a holding process of holding the heated coke in a CO2 atmosphere at a holding temperature in the predetermined temperature range, and a process of determining a weight decrease rate of the coke after having been held at the holding temperature for a predetermined time by using a thermogravimetry method and of estimating coke strength after reaction from the weight decrease rate.
