    摘要: A cathode ray tube comprises, at least, an electron beam generation unit, a plurality of electrodes consti­tuting an electron lens unit for allowing electron beams which are emitted from the electron beam generation unit to focus on a predetermined location on a phosphor screen, a pair of insulating support rods (13a, 13b) for supporting the electrodes, a resistor unit ( 141 ) for applying a voltage to at least one of the plurality of electrodes, and a metal ring (SR) mounted in contact with a predetermined electrode of the electron lens unit and surrounding the insulating support rod (13a, 13b). A voltage pickup terminal (T21) on the resistor unit ( 141 ) of the cathode ray tube, via which a voltage is applied to at least one electrode in the electron lens unit, is located on the electron beam generation unit side with the metal ring (SR) as a reference. The potential on the metal ring (SR) is lower than a poten­tial on the voltage pickup terminal (T21).

    摘要: In a electron gun assembly, three in-line electron beams are generated from three cathodes (K) and are con­trolled and accelerated by a prefocusing electron lens (PL), and each of the electron beams is converged by unipotential electron lens (EL2). In a horizontal plane, the electron beams are collimated by a quadrupole lenses (QEL) and are incident on a single and common large-diameter main electron leans (LEL). In a vertical plane, each of the electron beams is emerged as a divergent electron beam from the quadrupole lens QEL) and each of the divergent electron beams is inci­dent on the main electron lens (LEL). Thus, each of the electron beams are correctly focused on a screen and the three electron beams are correctly converged on a con­vergent point by the main electrode lens (LEL).
