摘要: A method of making mask structure including two or more masks for a mask-focusing colour picture tube and the mask structure formed by the method. A plurality of apertured flat masks, each mask comprising an effective portion having apertures and a border surrounding the effective portion are stacked with the apertures aligned, then filling material is poured into the apertures. The filling material is solidified thereby fixing the flat masks together. The fixed masks are pressed into a predetermined curved shape. Then, the filling material is removed from the apertures and the masks are separated.

摘要: The invention discloses a method of making a mask structure Including two or more masks for a colour cathode ray tube, for example, a mask focusing colour cathode ray tube. A plurality of apertured flat masks, each mask having an effective portion having apertures and non-effective portion surrounding the effective portion, are aligned and stacked with a predetermined gap between them. The gap is then filled with filling material which solidifies, thereby fixing the flat masks together. The fixed masks are simultaneously pressed into a predetermined curved shape. The filling material is then removed from the curved masks.

摘要: A method of making a mask structure for a mask-focusing colour picture tube is described. A plurality of apertured flat masks are aligned and stacked. The stacked flat masks are contacted by force to hold them together while they are welded together. The force is removed and the welded flat masks are pressed into a predetermined curved shape at the same time. Next, the welded portions are cut off to separate the masks. The force is conveniently a magnetic force.

摘要: In a color cathode ray tube, a panel (3) having a single faceplate (3-1) is coupled to a plurality of necks (5-1 to 5-12) through a plurality of funnels (4-1 to 4-12), respectively. A plurality of electron gun assemblies (6-1 to 6-12) are received in necks (5-1 to 5-12) and a plurality of deflection units (7-1 to 7-12) are mounted around the funnels (4-1 to 4-12), respectively. A screen (2) is formed on an inner surface of faceplate (3-1) and has a plurality of continuous segment regions (16-1 to 16-12) each of which is scanned with the electron beams emitted from the corresponding electron gun assembly (6-1 to 6-12) and deflected by the corresponding deflection unit (7-1 to 7-12). A shadow-mask (10) is so supported in the panel (3) as to face the faceplate (3-1). The electron gun assemblies (6-1 to 6-12) adjacent each other so arranged as to have a relative distance GS between the central axis thereof: where SG is a relative distance on the deflection plane, between the electron beams emitted from each of said electron gun assembly, d is a distance between predetermined effective apertures of the shadow mask through which the predetermined electron beams pass, the predetermined electron beams landing on endmost adjacent effective phosphor elements in each two adjacent ones of said segment regions, and m and n are integers, respectively.

摘要: In a color cathode ray tube, single electron beam (15) is emitted from a cathode (22) of an electron gun (6) and is electrostatically deflected by electrodes (26A, 26B) in a predetermined cycle so that the electron beam (15, 16, 12) is deflected at three stages and three apparent electron beams (15, 16, 17) are directed in different directions. The three apparent electron beams (15, 16, 17) are deflected by a supplement coil (14), thereby correcting the convergence. The three electron beams (15, 16, 17) are deflected by main deflection coils of yoke (7), passes through an aperture of a shadow mask (8) and are landed on a phosphour stripes (10) of a screen (2) formed on a face plate.

The screen is divided into a plurality of subregions (73,75,77,79) each of which is scanned by an individual unit electron gun. Each unit electron gun emits a single electron beam and in associated with an individual main deflection device for causing the beam to scan the electron gun's particular subregion of the screen and subsidiary deflection means (45,47,51) for effecting electron beam colour switching.

摘要: In an electron gun assembly for a cathode ray tube, the center and side electron beams (3A, 3B, 3C) emitted from cathodes (9A, 9B, 9C) are incident on a main electric lens (21). The center and side electron beams (3A, 3B, 3C) are focused, respectively. The side beams (3A, 3C) are over-converged and directed to an over-converged point by the main electric lens (21). The side beams (3A, 3C) emerged from the main electric lens (21) are deflected and corrected by a divergent lens (23) so that the center and side beams are converged on a proper converged point between the screen (30) and the over-converged point (P).

摘要: An electron gun for producing and directing at least one electron beam along a beam path comprises a beam forming section (6, 9, 11, 12) and a main lens section for focusing the electron beam.
