    摘要: A vacuum envelope includes a flat faceplate and a flat rear plate (3) opposed to the faceplate. A phosphor screen is formed on an inner surface of the faceplate. A plurality of support member (22) are located between the faceplate and the rear plate and bear atmospheric pressure acting on the faceplate and the rear plate. Each support member has first and second support portions (28, 32). The first support portion is set up on the rear plate and has a proximal end face intimately in contact with the inner surface of the rear plate and a bearing surface (34a) substantially parallel to the rear plate. The second support portion is provided between the bearing surface of the first support portion and the faceplate, and has a distal end (32a) abutting against a predetermined position on the inner surface of the faceplate and a proximal end portion intimately in contact with the bearing surface of the first support portion.

    摘要: In a color picture tube apparatus having a first auxiliary deflecting means (GD1, GD2) for deflecting a single electron beam, emitted from a cathode (K), in a direction to separate from the tube axis (Z) in synchronism with switching among a plurality of video signals supplied to an electron gun, and splitting the single electron beam substantially into a plurality of beam segments, and a second auxiliary deflecting means, disposed between the first auxiliary deflecting means (GD1, GD2) and a main deflecting unit, for deflecting the plurality of beam segments in a direction to come close to the tube axis, the first auxiliary deflecting means (GD1, GD2) is constituted by an electrostatic deflecting lens provided to an accelerating electrode system between a control electrode (G1) and a focusing electrode (G4) of the electron gun, and the second auxiliary deflecting means is constituted by a main electron lens (ML) of the electron gun for finally focusing the electron beam segments on a phosphor screen. Accordingly, the entire length of the picture tube can be shortened, and the auxiliary deflecting power can be reduced as well as the manufacturing cost.

    摘要: A cathode-ray tube includes an envelope having a rectangular face plate (10) and a rectangular, flat rear plate (12) opposed to the face plate. A phosphor screen (17) is formed on the inner surface of the face plate and has a number striped phosphor layers extending in parallel to one another, and a plurality of regions which are independently scanned by electron beams. A mask support mechanism for supporting a shadow mask (20) in the envelope comprises a plurality of fixing members (28) made of a metal having a thermal expansion property substantially equal to that of glass and fixed to the inner surface of the second plate (12) by a bonding agent (36), and first and second mask support members (19a, 19b) fixed to the fixing members and situated to face the first and second longitudinal ends of the phosphor layers. The shadow mask (20) is supported on the first and second support members while being applied with a tensile force in the longitudinal direction of the phosphor layers.

Each of the deflection devices has a horizontal deflection coil (13H) and a vertical deflection coil (13V). The horizontal deflection coils of the deflection devices are connected to one another in series, and the vertical deflection coils of the deflection devices are connected to one another in series. All the deflection devices are driven by a common deflection driving circuit (30) which has a horizontal deflection driving circuit (32H) connected to the horizontal deflection coils and a vertical deflection driving circuit (32V) connected to the vertical deflection coils.
