摘要： A game system comprises a monitor, an input unit for outputting a signal corresponding to the operation by the player, and a game control unit for executing a predetermined card game on the screen of the monitor while referring to the output signal from the input unit. The game control unit determines cards (101,..., 101) displayed in a matrix on the game screen (100A). Out of the lines of cards arrayed in a predetermined direction on the game screen, lines the number of which corresponds to the play value preset by the operation of the input unit by the player are set as effective lines. The payment to the player is controlled according to the combination of cards in the effective lines and the combination of cards in a direction different from the direction of line of cards.
